OPTIONAL STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Internship: Refers to professional work performed by students at a workplace, apart from the theoretical and practical courses offered at the university and determined specific to the program. The aim is to enhance students’ professional knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors, to help them get acquainted with the industry, adapt to professional life, and gain experience in real production and service environments.
- In our undergraduate programs where mandatory internship applications are not required, students may undertake optional internships. These optional internships will be conducted under the coordination of the Internship Commission established within the Department Chairmanships, in accordance with the Internship Mobilization Implementation Directive of the Presidential Human Resources Office and the Optional Internship provisions outlined in the Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Applied Education Directive.
- Before starting the internship, students who wish to participate in an optional internship must complete the application forms listed below on a computer, print them, obtain the necessary wet-ink signatures from the relevant authorities, and submit the completed forms to the faculty and the designated workplace.After completing the internship, students must ensure that the internship evaluation report, prepared by the relevant workplace authority, is submitted to the faculty’s document registration unit. Applications submitted via mail, courier, fax, or other communication methods will not be processed.
- The workplace internship evaluation report is reviewed by the department's internship commission, and the prepared commission report is submitted to the Department Chairmanship. Students who successfully complete their internships are issued a completion certificate.
Application Requirements:
To participate in an optional internship, students must meet the following conditions:
- The student’s enrollment status must be active during the internship period,
- The internship must take place during semester breaks or summer holidays, and no course registration for summer school should occur during the internship period,
- The student must hold a valid Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
