We are proud to announce that Büşra Gökçe ZOLMAZ, a student of the Physics Department, and her teammate İbrahim ÇERİ, a student of Aeronautical Engineering at Gaziantep University, were awarded third place in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) category of the Türkiye Innovation Week İnovaTİM Innovation Competition, which took place at the Haliç Congress Center from October 10-12, 2024. Their project, titled “EFFIORBIT”, stood out among nearly 200 teams.
The event, which began with an opening speech by Mustafa GÜLTEPE, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), concluded with an award ceremony attended by Dr. Osman Aşkın BAK, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Mehmet Fatih KACIR, Minister of Industry and Technology. The winning projects received their awards from Kutlu KARAVELİOĞLU, Vice President of TİM, and Ümit LEBLEBİCİ, General Manager of Turkish Economy Bank (TEB).
EFFIORBIT is an innovative AI-supported system designed to reduce high costs and delays in satellite data transmission. It offers real-time data analysis on satellites and targets sectors such as agriculture, environmental monitoring, energy, and IoT, aiming to enhance the speed and efficiency of businesses in these fields.
