Dr. Fethi Kılıç, who passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, was honored with a ceremony held in front of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
The funeral ceremony was attended by Bolu Governor Abdulaziz Aydın, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, Chief Public Prosecutor İbrahim Cansever, members of the judiciary, Bar Association President Attorney Sinan Barut, BAİBÜ Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Samettin Gündüz and Prof. Dr. Coşkun Karaca, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Rahmi Yücel, academic and administrative staff of our university, students, friends, as well as the deceased's wife, children, and relatives.
During the ceremony, heartfelt speeches were delivered by the late Kılıç's son Furkan Kılıç, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Dr. Rahmi Yücel, Acting Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Samettin Gündüz, and Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin. They offered their condolences to the loved ones and prayed for mercy upon the deceased.
Academic and administrative staff, students, colleagues, neighbors, and friends shared their memories of Dr. Fethi Kılıç and prayed for his soul.
Following the speeches and prayers, the late Kılıç was escorted on his final journey. His funeral prayer was performed at Ali Ericek Application Mosque after the noon prayer, and he was subsequently laid to rest in Karaköy Cemetery.
