2024–2025 Academic Year Graduation Ceremonies Held with Great Enthusiasm at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University

The 2024–2025 academic year graduation ceremonies of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (BAİBÜ) turned into unforgettable moments for students, families, and academic and administrative staff. Held on May 14–15 at the BAİBÜ Culture Center and Congress Center, the events marked a joyful culmination of students' years of hard work.

On Wednesday, May 14, ceremonies were held in the Blue Hall of the BAİBÜ Culture Center at 1:00 p.m. for the Department of Mathematics and at 3:00 p.m. for the Departments of Chemistry and Physics. Simultaneously, in the Burgundy Hall of the Congress Center, the Department of Turkish Language and Literature held its ceremony at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Department of History at 3:00 p.m.

On Thursday, May 15, the celebrations began at 11:00 a.m. with the Department of Biology’s ceremony in the Blue Hall of the Culture Center. Later that day, the Department of Sociology held its ceremony at 1:00 p.m., and the Department of Psychology at 3:00 p.m., both in the Burgundy Hall of the Congress Center.

The ceremonies were enriched with meaningful and colorful performances celebrating the students’ long academic journeys. Highlights included a traditional Zeybek dance, poetry readings, individual musical performances accompanied by guitar, and musical interludes of Turkish Classical and Turkish Folk Music performed with a live orchestra. These events received great appreciation from the audience. Videos and photo slideshows prepared by the graduates offered moments of joy and emotion for all attendees.

Among the attendees were Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Dr. Ekrem Gürel, vice deans, department heads, academic and administrative staff, students, and their families.

At the Sociology Department's ceremony, following a moment of silence and the National Anthem, BAİBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alişarlı addressed the audience. He emphasized that graduation marks a turning point in the lives of students. Highlighting the hard work and sacrifices behind their achievements, he expressed his gratitude to both academic staff and families. He concluded by wishing the graduates determination, perseverance, and success in their future endeavors.

During the programs, top-ranking students received certificates of achievement, and symbolic diplomas were awarded to all graduates. The enthusiasm peaked with a traditional cap-tossing ceremony following the video presentation. Caps soaring through the air to the sound of applause symbolized the beginning of a new chapter.
