Field Study Conducted in Mudurnu for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage

As part of a project led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazan Müge Uysal from the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (BAİBÜ), activities were carried out to prepare informative texts and develop content in foreign languages to promote the cultural heritage area of Mudurnu.

Within the scope of the project, the project team conducted a field study in the Mudurnu district on Friday, May 10, 2025. The team included Atılgan Kaya, Head of the Mudurnu Historical Ahi City Site; Dr. Süleyman Saz from the Department of Tourism Guidance at BAİBÜ; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mesut Kuleli from the Department of Translation and Interpreting at BAİBÜ; and third-year students from the Department of Translation and Interpreting who contributed to the project as part of the "Volunteering Activities" course.

During the visit, the project team met with Mudurnu Mayor Doğan Onurlu. They exchanged ideas on the work carried out and the activities planned within the scope of the project.

Following the visit, Dr. Süleyman Saz provided students with comprehensive information about Mudurnu’s historical urban fabric, cultural tourism assets, monumental structures, and elements of intangible cultural heritage.
